Mickey's Halloween Party

I love going to theme parks and going on rides.  Before I found out I'm pregnant again, I have this whole to do list of doing the theme park round since DH and I have not gone to one since Macu arrived.  I planned on going to Six Flags and trying out the new thrill rides. Go to Knotts Berry Farm for the Halloween event. But God has different plans for us and decided to bless us with a new munchkin which means the thrill seeker in me needs to take a back seat for a while.

But one thing that I told DH that we need to do for sure is visit Disneyland during Halloween. I have always wanted to see the decorations and other gimmicks they had. The main thing they do during Halloween Time is host Mickey's Halloween Party on certain nights in October.  They close the park early for regular guests and you need a special event ticket to attend. The cost for each ticket varies between $54 to $69 depending on the date but this includes parking and entrance to the park 3 hours prior to the event.

Our good friends Nick and Christian joined us.  It was so much fun! The decorations were awesome! Pumpkins every where! Since the event is limited to a number of people, the best thing about this is the wait times! The most we had to wait for a ride was 30 minutes. Most of the rides were only 5 to 15 min wait. How great was that!? The usual wait times are usually 1 to 2 hours, I kid you not.  If you have a toddler with you, scratch doing any rides at all. They will be throwing tantrums left and right!

Macu was actually really behaved through the night. I think he was so curious of his surroundings he didn't have time to throw fits. He probably also enjoyed looking at other guests costumes.

One of our other fave things about the event was that they give out trick or treat candies.  When you enter the park, they give you a treat bag to go on the treat stations. It doesn't matter what age you are. Go get 'em candies! For real, I saw 75 year olds on costumes go on the lines several times.  By the time we were done, all of us had brimming full loot bags.  That means we don't have to buy candies to give out trick or treaters on halloween itself. Winning! Lol

One of the highlights of the event was the special firework display which was Halloween themed. This features the Disney Villains.  Despite the loud noise, Macu fell asleep. :(

He woke up again though and by the end of the night he was dancing the night away at Frontierland.  They converted the restaurants to dance club where kids get to party with the mascots.  Macu was dancing to Gangnam style with Donald Duck and Chip & Dale. It was so funny and cute. My baby knows how to party. The only time he threw a tantrum was when we had to go and he still didn't want to leave and keep n dancing. I hope this is not a prediction of what he's gonna be like in the future. SMH.

We will definitely do this again next year! By that time we wil have two kids in tow. We will see how easy that's gonna be. ;)
